This is the company’s second subscription-based service and will eventually make its way to the 16 cities where it currently offers the online food ordering facility. Also, your membership will not be restricted to any single city, it is portable and will be applicable in all cities.

Kulashekaran further noted that this service is a precursor to the India launch of its membership program Zomato Gold that debuted in Dubai and Abu Dhabi last month.

Last week, Zomato had said that it had generated revenues of $49 million in FY17, registering an 80 percent growth year-on-year. Annual operating burn had also dropped by 81 percent to $12 million in FY17 as compared to the $64 million in FY16.
