Finnish startup Yepzon has launched two new personal GPS trackers in India. The trackers named Yepzon One and Yepzon Freedom are priced at Rs 3,999 and Rs 5,999 respectively and will be available through popular e-commerce websites like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
Now coming to the trackers, the Yepzon One is the one without any buttons that is designed to be worn by kids or pets, while the keychain-shaped Yepzon Freedom has a SOS button that will alert your emergency contact with your location when pressed three times. According to the company, the devices take 3 to 6 seconds to lock their location and report it at up to 3 metre accuracy. Apart from GPS, Yepzon Freedom is capable of using Wi-Fi indoor positioning to try and detect your location indoors where GPS connection may not be available.
Both the devices feature a built-in Vodafone SIM card and the data plans come as a complimentary package. The companion app can be used to track the tracker automatically and report it to the main admin. The battery backup of the devices vary from setting to setting. With normal usage the trackers can last for weeks without any problems. Both devices can be recharged using the built-in Micro-USB port.
The Yepzon Freedom can also operate in a mode where it doesn’t report back its location until you press the SOS button.
