Xiaomi India launches WhatsApp-based service, Mi Bunny for fans

Xiaomi India has announced a new WhatsApp based subscription service for all the Mi fans from India. The service called Mi Bunny will offer instant updates about Xiaomi latest product launches, deals and sale reminders. It will also offer notifications about MIUI weekly updates, and reminders about Mi Fan meetups over WhatsApp.

To activate the service, the user needs to send a WhatsApp message saying “XIAOMI” to +91-7760944500 along with their name and city. The company will send users with a welcome message and keep them posted about future Mi events scheduled in their city. To unsubscribe from this service, the user must send STOP as text on the same number. Users can also raise customer support requests by sending SUPPORT to the number and then follow the on-screen instructions.

The company mentioned that no provided details will be accessible to third-party services. "We shall ensure that your name, contact number, and location will not be accessible to third-party services," the company said in a forum post.

Xiaomi said that the service is in Beta testing and is limited to the functionalities. Xiaomi stated that it will add more functionalities to the service soon.
