Telecom operators are coming up with new plans almost every day to counter Reliance Jio. To take on Jio's free voice calling and unlimited data, Vodafone has announced a new prepaid plan for its subscribers at just Rs 199.
Under the latest offer, Vodafone prepaid users will get unlimited voice calls and 1GB data for a validity of 28 days. The local and STD calls are capped at a maximum of 250 minutes of free calls in a day and 1,000 minutes in a week. If the user exhausts this limit, they will be charged at 30 paise per minute for subsequent calls. Vodafone prepaid users who subscribe to this plan get a free subscription to Vodafone Play app.
Vodafone also says in its Terms & Conditions that users cannot make calls to more than 300 unique numbers in a 7-day period. If they breach the 300-people mark, all calls will be charged at 30 paisa per minute for the remaining validity.
Also earlier this week, Vodafone offered a new plan under which the telecom operator is offering 1.5GB data per day along with unlimited local and STD calls for Rs 349. This plan is valid only for prepaid users and comes with a validity of 28 days.
