Vimeo announces two new tools to help creators grow their business

Vimeo, the video-sharing website has announced two new tools to help creators grow and expand their audiences. The new tools are called Simulcast- allows live video to be streamed to Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Periscope at the same time and Publish to Social- allows creators to upload to both Facebook and YouTube simultaneously with one click.

The Simulcast tool lets paid members to stream their live videos from Vimeo to any RTMP-enabled destination, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Periscope. The company notes that doing so uses a single input stream, which saves on bandwidth. Completed events are automatically archived on the member's Vimeo site.

Vimeo is also adding Publish to Social, a similar tool that lets video creators publish their works to other platforms, including YouTube and Facebook, in one step. Not only will the tool help with Facebook exposure, since that platform favors native uploads, but it offers a side-by-side dashboard view of performance stats for each destination.

Vimeo is also expanding the ability to publish videos as native posts to social destinations like Facebook and YouTube. Now, the feature is available to all Plus, PRO, Business, and live plans.
