OnePlus announces that OnePlus 7 Pro’s breakthrough display is also HDR10+ certified, providing users with a more dynamic, detailed and vivid viewing experience. By bringing consumers a display of the future, OnePlus is again raising the benchmark for flagship displays throughout the industry.
OnePlus is also pleased to announce today that it has established a cooperation with popular video streaming websites, YouTube and Netflix, to bring users next-generation HD content that is viewable in HDR10.
HDR10+ provides frame-by-frame adjustments for the optimum representation of contrast from the HDR source content. HDR10+ also produces 4000 nits of peak brightness, a massive increase of 3,000 nits compared to HDR10. Being an open format, it's license and royalty free and therefore easily adoptable by manufacturers and content producers with quality maintained through an HDR10+ certification and logo program.
HDR10+ is currently only available on a selected few TVs and smartphones, due to the high technical requirements for production. OnePlus is thrilled to be releasing a flagship that will join the ranks of the devices that support HDR10+, and to be bringing users a viewing experience of the future on the go.
“We are proud to have reached a cooperation with YouTube and Netflix to provide users with the ability to watch videos in HDR10, which will greatly enhance the viewing experience due to clearer details and higher dynamic range.” “HDR10+ is the future of not just television displays, but also smartphone displays as well. We hope that our newest device will set a new benchmark for the smartphone industry and open up a new world of visual fluidity for users. We’re glad we are leading the ranks in sharing quality technology with the world.” says OnePlus CEO Pete Lau.
The new OnePlus 7 Pro display comes with an A+ top-grade rating given by DisplayMate, and is ‘Safety for Eyes’ certified by VDE. OnePlus has always prided itself on providing the best experience possible to users and sharing the best technology with the World.
