Samsung Galaxy S8 which will be launched either at MWC in February, or in late March, has been whirling in the wind of rumours since last year.
Though, up till now it was being said that Samsung will follow its rival, Apple's path of removing the headphone jack. However, according to the latest reports, Samsung has decided to keep the Victorian times 3.5mm headphone jack very much intact.
Android Police report said, "We can now say with a high degree of confidence that the Galaxy S8 will have a 3.5mm headphone jack." The report also cited a personal source to confirm the status of the 3.5mm jack on the smartphone.
SamMobile has also provided a set of new images of Galaxy S8 case, indicating that the phone will have a 3.5mm port. Cutouts for the camera and flash are present on the back, and the case also features buttons for three buttons on the left side of the phone, including the volume keys and the standby button.
Other rumours include that Samsung S8 will come in two variants, 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch. Obviously, the larger one will be the Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung is also expected to let go of the Home Button, just like Apple is planning to do for its iPhone 8. Instead, Samsung will bring S8 with a pressure sensitive display.
Considering the South-Korean company's fiasco around Samsung Galaxy S7, there's a lot of pressure on Samsung to get the Galaxy S8 flagship right. The company is reportedly targeting to ship 60 million Galaxy S8 units this year, much higher than the shipments of the last three years.
