Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal invites E-learners and e-teachers to join the "VidyaDaan 2.0" program

Ramesh pokhruyal launched Vidyadaan 2.0

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has launched the national program VidyaDaan 2.0.  He has also invited e-learning content contributions from teachers all over the country and students to gain knowledge.

The portal provides free of cost CBSE level education. It is an initiative by CBSE to bring together teachers and students from all over the country for good quality education. VidyaDaan app teaches students from class 6 to 10th with the help of e-content. The subjects taught are English, Hindi, Maths, Science, and Social Science. The site has organised the content based on NCERT provided guidelines via the DIKSHA platform.

HRD Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal launched the Vidya Daan program on 12th September 2019. He has relaunched it in the face of Lockdown 2.0 as many students are suffering to school shutdown. He has tweeted it today:

The tweet read: In the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the HRD Ministry has launched the program VidyaDaan 2.0. This government initiative aims to help students continue their studies during the Lockdown. You can click on the above link.

In the same thread, he has mentioned that the platform will also seek help from teachers and experts to develop competitive content. Anyone who wants to be a part of the contribution can submit their content in the form of explanatory videos, animation, flow charts, worksheets and question papers.

What is the Scope of Contribution?

The scope for the contribution towards Vidya Daan 2.0 is as follows:
 Grades- 1st to 12th
 Subjects- Core Subjects - Aligned to NCERT textbooks (mentioned below)
 Medium- English
 Content-Type – Learning outcomes, lesson plans, mind maps, question papers, explanatory videos, measuring attainments like HOTS, LOs, PPTs, Curiosity questions, etc.

What will be the benefit of contribution?

You will receive a certificate for participating. Participating schools will also receive awards. Also, there will be a special award for the school that contributes the most. Teachers contributing a significant number of content pieces will get weightage that will be considered for national awards such as CBSE teacher awards.

How can you contribute or do the "VidyaDaan"?

You can visit www.diksha.gov.in/cbse to view and play content for their grade and subject. You can also download DIKSHA App from the play store. Currently, there are over 6000 content pieces on Vidya Daan that teachers and students across the country are using.
