Tinder will stop services for the users under the age of 18 starting next week, according to a statement from Tinder VP of Communications Rosette Pambakian.
This comes on the heels of the announcement last week by Tinder CEO Sean Rad, where he told about the company's intent to make the dating service trans-gender friendly.
Although the dating app currently allows everyone 13 years of age or older on its platform, but users between 13 and 17 years old are allowed to match with others in the same age bracket only.
Tinder said that this will impact less than 3 percent of its user base.
“We’ve been reviewing this policy since early this year and believe it’s the right thing to do,” told Pambakian to TechCrunch.
