Further, the UGC has undertaken these steps to monitor the queries and grievances of students, teachers, and institutions. Students can also lodge their grievances on the existing Online Students Grievance Redressal Portal of UGC at https://www.ugc.ac.in/grievance/student_reg.aspx
In addition to this, the Commission has also constituted a Task Force. This will monitor concerns, grievances of students, teachers, and institutions, and redress them accordingly. Furthermore, UGC has asked all the universities and colleges to upload a copy of the public notice on their official websites. The colleges have to share it with the teaching and student community via email and other digital media.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said:
I have requested all universities to establish a Cell for handling grievances of the students related to examinations and other academic activities arising due to the COVID19 pandemic.
When will the exams be conducted?
As for exams, the university examinations are likely to begin in July. Further, the new admissions shall begin in August. The guidelines also engulf universities' academic sessions, exam modes, and teaching methods to be adopted in this pandemic situation.
For every University, though, the State Minister for Education will lay the guidelines on exams. Most of the big universities are conducting online exams, or exams with reduces time and marks.
