Twitter is testing a new feature called Bookmarks which allows users to privately save tweets for later. The new feature might appear in menu in the bottom right corner of a tweet on your devices.
Twitter's staff product designer Tina Koyama tweeted a teaser as to what the feature looks like.
News from the #SaveForLater team! Weβve decided to call our feature Bookmarks because that's a commonly used term for saving content and it fits nicely alongside the names of the other features in the navigation. pic.twitter.com/cQ0X1PHlsR

Back in October, Keith Coleman, Head of Product had tweeted that the new feature #SaveForLater was in the works.
β¨π³πFresh out of HackWeek and coming soon β a new way to save tweets to read later. Been a top request (β€οΈπ―π΅!) The team would love your feedback as they dial in the design! #SaveForLater π https://t.co/6oo2lhqFbW

The Bookmarks that are saved can then be accessed via your profile page, where you also access any Lists and Moments.
The feature comes at a time when Twitter is making some serious changes to help the platform expand beyond its limitations. Earlier, the company doubled its tweet character limit from 140 characters to 280 characters. It is also running tests to let people create tweetstorms to string together several of their own tweets into a thread.
