Twitter is doing all it can to change the fortunes of the company. After shutting down Vine, just a day back, it sold off its developer platform Fabric to Google. And now there are reports about micro-blogging site experimenting with its looks- it's Moments platform to start with. Many users are reporting about a new timeline like a format for Moments instead of the usual, flipbook style.
Launched in 2015, Moments shows curated stories, so users can stay up-to-date with current and ongoing events. It was initially launched to a select number of publishers like BuzzFeed, NASA, Getty Images, Vogue, The New York Times and Entertainment News. However, gradually, more people were on-boarded like celebrities and influencers until every user had access.
Changing from its de facto format, Twitter is now testing a timeline like a layout that is very similar to Twitter’s own feed. Confirming the news to VentureBeat, a Twitter spokesperson said that the company is testing a new layout for Moments Tab with a small number of users at present and as such there is no guarantee if the feature will be rolled out to the rest.
The new design certainly looks cleaner and matches well with the rest of the app — considering that it is pretty similar to Twitter’s own news feed.
Looks like Jack Dorsey has already started fixing things for Twitter starting with how the app looks and feels to the users. Stay tuned for more updates.
