Amid struggling ad business, Twitter is looking for ways to make more money. The micro-blogging site is planning to create a paid version of the TweetDeck, a free online tool that helps users to manage multiple accounts.
Twitter has reportedly sent emails to selected users to know whether they would be interested in paid TweetDeck, which will come with "more advanced Tweetdeck experience."
Andrew Tavani, a journalist, shared the email on Twitter:

The idea behind the new tool the idea could be to give power users and brands the necessary tools to maximise reach on the service and showcase its real potential. It will provide viewing, posting, and signalling tools like alerts, trends and activity analysis, advanced analytics, and composing and posting tools all in one customizable dashboard.
A Twitter spokesperson said, “Twitter is conducting a survey to assess the interest in a new, more enhanced version of Tweetdeck. We regularly conduct user research to gather feedback about people’s Twitter experience and to better inform our product investment decisions, and we’re exploring several ways to make Tweetdeck even more valuable for professionals.”
Twitter acquired TweetDeck in 2011, which failed to receive development over the last several years. It got a small update in late 2012, but it wasn't enough to refresh the TweetDeck experience. So this premium subscription version could be significant, bringing the much-needed transformation.
