Twitter has launched a new feature called 'Happening Now' that showcases tweets about latest events to users on its platform. The feature will begin with sports and gradually expand to other topics such as news and entertainment, as reported by TechCrunch.
The new feature is quite similar to Twitter Moments. But Moments are curated stories showcasing the very best of what's happening on Twitter, customised to show users current topics that are popular or relevant so they can discover what is unfolding on Twitter in an instant. Moments are also often more visual, featuring images and videos, like Instagram Stories.
Feel the roar of the crowd, no matter where you are.
We're rolling out a new way to see what's happening now, starting with sports in 🇺🇸! Available on Android and iOS starting today. https://t.co/lmBFCK4DG0 pic.twitter.com/cv4wL8hCxA

According to the tweet, on pressing the event on the Happening Now channel, the display will show you live scores on the top, followed by updates as one scrolls down. Twitter says Happening Now is available on iOS and Android starting today.
While it's an interesting move from Twitter's side, the addition of yet another curation tool may be confusing to the user with already so many like-minded features present.
