Tesla’s fourth quarter’s earnings call brought in another piece of news that it’s Chief Financial Officer Jason Wheeler is leaving the company.
Wheeler will be replaced by Deepak Ahuja, who was Tesla’s first CFO joining the company in 2008 after 15 years of experience at Ford Motor Company. Ahuja will return to Tesla in early March to work with Wheeler and "ensure a smooth transition," Musk said.
“Jason made a number of significant contributions at Tesla, including leading the company to a profitable third quarter last year, significantly improving the company’s cash position, helping to lead the acquisition of SolarCity, and preparing Tesla to scale for the launch of Model 3,” the company wrote in a blog post.
