The first production Model 3 is a black, all-electric four-door compact executive car sedan. The Model 3 will have more color options, but Tesla is limiting these options as of now so as to ease the production process. It is one of the first cars to have a barren dashboard with the exception of a center LCD touchscreen. Based on the pictures posted by Musk, Model 3 feels like a shorter Model S, but with a sporty feel to it.
Model 3 is a major step for Tesla and will be priced around $35,000. It "achieves 215 miles (346 km) of range per charge" and is "designed to attain the highest safety ratings in every category". The Model 3 will be officially launched on 28th July with the first 30 customers expected to take the delivery.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk expects production to reach 20,000 vehicles per month by December 2017. With the Model 3, Tesla is looking to start a new chapter in the company's history.
