Sun Life appoints Tarun Sareen as Managing Director, Asia Service Centers

Sun Life Asia Service Centers (India and Philippines), ASC, is the Global In-house Centre of Sun Life Financial, a Canadian financial services company. It is also one of the largest life insurance organizations in the world. Sun Life ASC provides Business Operations, Technology, and Knowledge Services support to Sun Life's global businesses. Started in 2006, Asia Service Centre’s, today, employ more than 3000 staff; thus, providing 24 x 7 Enterprise support to Sun Life corporations globally.

Tarun joins Sunlife ASC from Deutsche Bank. Here, he was the Managing Director, Head of Corporate Banking and Investment Banking Technology, India. Through his extensive professional journey, Tarun has held various business management and technology leadership roles with EMC Corporation, Barclays Technology Center, Microsoft R&D Ltd and General Electric Aircraft Engines.

“Tarun has deep knowledge and experience in driving large scale delivery organizations. He also has a proven track record in setting up, building and running world-class Global In-house Centers (GICs). His experience will be extremely valuable in driving business results through the implementation of information technology solutions and driving transformations for business impact.”

Further, he takes up the new role effective 12th Oct 2020.

Tarun received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Marquette University, USA. He is a Senior Leader with a track record of building next-gen technology organizations, delivering business results through the implementation of leading-edge information technology (IT) solutions and driving transformation.

Tarun’s professional experience includes building from the ground up and running global technology centres of excellence for EMC, Barclays, Microsoft and General Electric Aircraft Engines; developing global leaders; and developing IT solutions and services for diverse businesses in various industries: Manufacturing, Aviation, Banking, and High Tech. Also, he has senior leadership experience in defining the vision, executing the strategic direction and driving change collaboratively.
