The Aviral Plastic Waste Innovation Challenge is an innovative businesses competition to support and showcase innovative solutions in the field of plastic waste management. The objective is to solve existing problems in the two cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar through sustainable technology and business innovations. Businesses who facilitate the innovative solution to reduce the plastic waste problem can apply through the Startup India platform.
For the very first time in India the partnership of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with Climate Collective Foundation, invites innovative businesses to be part of this grand challenge that will strengthen your chances of working and applying innovative solutions to plastic waste management in Haridwar and Rishikesh.
AEPW will run 2 tracks for this challenge and select 40 startups whose solutions, they will showcase in the compendium and online database. In the end, it will announce 2 winners (1 from each track). Further, these winners will get grant support of up to 50,000 EUR for implementation of their pilots.
The last date to apply is 15th November 2020; the announcement of finalists will take place on 15th December 2020. The selected participants will need to submit a video pitch as well as a pitch deck.
Track 01
Create added value and improve the plastic waste value chain.
Track 02
Develop a solution pertaining to plastic waste from the tourist population.
