Snapchat was down for about three hours and as usual social media users freaked out. Some social media users noticed the outage when they couldn't upload photos to their accounts. It wasn't too long before the hashtag #Snapchatdown started trending. The outage doesn't seem to have affected the ability to view already-posted stories from other users and the app's Discover section.
The company acknowledged the problem on its Twitter page-
Some Snapchatters are having trouble with the app 😓 We're looking into it!
