Firstly, Snapchat has allowed its users to record videos for up to 60 seconds(earlier it was just 10 seconds). The catch here is that instead of one 60 second long video, you get to record six 10 second videos, which are then clubbed in a chronological order. Users could remove the 10-second chunk they don’t want to include in the final video. In order to record for more than 10 seconds, just tap and hold down your finger. After every 10 seconds, a thumbnail for a 10-second clip will appear above the recording button. The feature which was already present in the iOS version is now available for Android.

iOS users will now get the ability to copy and paste a URL with just a single click. Now when users open the share tray, they will see Snapchat as an option next to other social media apps such as Facebook and WhatsApp. This will speed up things as users can share a news article or a shopping item on an e-commerce store with a single tap. The feature was already available for Android users.

Snapchat has introduced a new cool feature called Ghost Mode. The Ghost Mode allows users to temporarily disable user location. Ghost mode was added for users who did not want Snap Map to broadcast their location to their friends all the time.

Users can set a timer in the Ghost Mode and choose a duration for which they want their location to be disabled. The Ghost Mode can be kept active for 2 hours or 24 hours until the user manually does not turn it off. The feature is only available for iOS users as of now.

Snapchat has introduced a new shortcut that enables users to watch their friends Stories or directly send them a Snap by tapping and pressing on that friend’s username. The shortcut is available only to iOS users as of now.
