SAP simplifies real-time decison-making with 'Digital Boardroom' and voice commands

To help senior management and C-Suite executives gauge their company’s standing in the market as compared to their competitors, SAP has showcased SAP Digital Boardroom in India during its Spotlight Tour in India.

When required to make highly informed business decisions, board members, executives and decision-makers are often faced with separate reporting solutions that present data in a static, isolated way. Digital Boardroom is built with the objective to contextualize and simplify real-time performance reporting across multiple areas of business with rich visualizations of live data.

While it aims to simplified boardroom processes with modern touch-screen experience on projector, laptop or wearable device, the interesting part is that the solution will also be able to take the commands from voice-enabled assistants like Siri, Cortana, Google's Home as well as Amazon Echo. The data which will be made available through voice commands will include unstructured data sources such as social media sources, said N Sekar, Vice President, Engineering, SAP Labs India.

Built on the SAP BusinessObjects Cloud solution, SAP Digital Boardroom utilizes line-of-business data from the SAP S/4HANA suite and SAP HANA Cloud Platform to provide a single source of truth about a company’s critical business metrics.

It harmonizes the view of company operations across all lines of business on multiple devices. This view enables users to understand the past, assist in predicting the future and helps in faster and better decision-making in today’s era of digital transformation.

Company executives can obtain comprehensive data-driven insights answering ad hoc questions and simulate the impact of “what-if” scenarios to financials and operations.  New collaboration features assign and track action items even outside of scheduled meetings.
