Though Samsung made it obvious that this year's Mobile World Congress will not witness the launch of the Galaxy S8, the South-Korean company also doesn't want the new rivals, like Nokia 3310, BlackBerry, LG, or Huawei to steal the show completely.
Hence, amid their Mobile World Congress keynote, Samsung has sent out invites to an event, which has been christened as "unbox your phone". That simply means that Samsung will be launching Galaxy S8 and S8 plus on March 29 at the Lincoln Center in NYC. The event will be held at 11 am EST.
The company has also released a teaser of their upcoming event. The event will also be live-streamed on the company's website.
The invitation for the event came with the tagline, “Unbox your phone” along with an image of an outline of a box with rounded corners, presumably the shape of the new Galaxy S8 which is expected to be announced.
The invite further said, "The forthcoming addition to the Galaxy line-up represents the start of a new era, by reshaping the device that has over the years become an indispensable tool in our everyday lives."
The famous tipster, Evan Blass also posted on Twitter with an early image of a sign-up page for the ‘Next Galaxy’ on Twitter.

The long and detailed investigation on the infamous Galaxy S7 fiasco is also believed to be the reason for Galaxy S8's delay.
Based on rumours so far, Samsung is expected to give the Galaxy S8 a design overhaul with no physical home button at the front. Samsung's new AI assistant, Bixby will also be added to give an enhanced experience to customers which will work with native apps as well. An extra premium smartphone is also expected to make appearance in the launch event.
