For all of you, who have been eagerly awaiting Samsung's latest flagship devices — Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the company has confirmed its India launch date to be April 19.

Though as of now, there are no details about the price and retail availability but considering the massive response that the smartphone has been able to garner in the US and South Korea, the expectations are really high in the Indian market too. Reportedly, the devices have received appreciation in both Korea and U.S, surpassing pre-orders for Samsung S7.
Samsung also revealed that pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have surpassed all past records in the home country as more than 550,000 units of the phones have been reportedly booked in just two days.
As a recap, the Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolution and 586ppi. The device features small bezels on the top and at the bottom, which makes it quite compact for its size. Both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are powered by Samsung’s Exynos processor and Qualcomm’s top-end 835 processor, which varies according to markets. In India, the Exynos variants are expected to be launched.
The devices sport a 12 MP primary camera with a f/1.7 aperture as well as a selfie snapper that has an 8 MP sensor. Accompanying the processor on the both the devices is 4GB of RAM, and 64GB storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The two run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI on top. Fuelling the Galaxy S8 is a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8+ gets a larger 3,500mAh battery.
