Reliance Jio, the newest entrant in the telecom sector has increased the prices of its data packs from Thursday. From now onwards, Jio customers will have to pay 15 percent more for its popular 84-day plan. The plan which now costs Rs 459 was earlier priced at Rs 399, according to the company's website. The Rs 399 pack got expired on October 18, which offered 100 percent cashback under the Diwali Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer.
The Rs 459 plan will offer Reliance Jio customers unlimited services at 1GB high-speed data per day for 84 days for prepaid users followed by data at curtailed speed, along with unlimited voice calling and access to Reliance Jio apps. The biggest change has been made in Rs 149 plan under which a customer will now be able to operate the high speed of 4.2 GB unlimited for 28 days. Daily limit would be 0.15 GB of this offer. Earlier customers used to get 2GB of monthly data.
Jio is offering Rs 509 plan which is valid for 49 days with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. 2 GB of data on daily basis will be available for customers. Another plan of Rs 999 is also launched which is valid for three months and will have 60 GB data limit.
Reliance Jio has introduced Rs 1,999 plan which will have six months validity and offer 125 GB data at unrestricted high speed. Under the new scheme, the validity of plan priced at Rs 4,999 will be for a year instead of 210 days under the previous scheme. However, customers opting for it will get unrestricted access to 350 GB high-speed data for the plan period compared to 380 GB offered earlier for the same price.
Reliance Jio has reduced recharge tariff for the lower denomination and short-term plans besides offering data benefits under the schemes. Reliance Jio has introduced a plan for Rs 52 with one-week validity and for Rs 98 with 2 weeks that will offer its customers free voice, SMS, unlimited data (0.15 GB daily).
