Redis Labs has today named Taimur Rashid as the company’s Chief Business Development Officer. Rashid will lead cross-functional projects to nurture and grow markets for the company. His work will also include delivering native manage services that enable customers to engage deeper with Redis and grow into premium services. Currently, Redis helps Global 1000 companies use artificial intelligence to accelerate the adoption of cloud-native architectures.

Rashid brings to the company nearly two decades of experience in incubating new market opportunities. He specialises in market expansion for iconic enterprise software companies. In the past 15 years, he has led several cloud service providers. On the appointment, Ofer Bengal, Co-Founder and CEO at Redis Labs stated that Taimur has excelled at developing market-leading data services in the cloud era. “Throughout his career, Taimur has taken new product capabilities; developing the market for them; scaling to create billion-dollar businesses around the product. Rashid joins Redis Labs from Microsoft where he was General Manager and Head of Worldwide Customer Success for the Azure Data & AI business, leading the cloud solution architects to develop and execute programs for customers to successfully adapt and grow with these services. Previously, Rashid spent more than a decade at Amazon Web Services. There, he was a founding member of the worldwide commercial field organization. He also served in a variety of leadership roles for new product incubation, go-to-market, and strategic business development.
Rashid states that he admires how Redis Labs has expanded the capabilities to power modern applications. Further, the company has also developed new technologies to help enterprises explore data layer strategies; thus enabling real-time use cases. "I’m excited to not only make it easier for our partners to sell and help our customers grow with Redis but also for businesses to build on top of Redis too,” he adds.
