Intel's Managing Director for South Asia, Debjani Ghosh is reportedly leaving in March after her 21 years stint in the company. She has been the Managing Director for Intel in South Asia since 2012.
Reports suggest that the leadership change was announced by Intel Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan Regional Sales Group Jerry Tsao in an email to employees.
“This is a decision Debjani has been considering for some time. She has been extremely passionate and committed to helping the country make progress on its vision of Digital India and she has decided she would like to devote more of her time and energy to this endeavour,” the email read.
Prakash Mallya, Director for Intel's Datacenter Group in Asia, is likely to take over as the new managing director for the South Asia region.
Mallya joined Intel in 2000 and held different regional positions at the company during the last 16 years. Most recently, he served as Intel’s country manager for Malaysia and Singapore.
