Ola Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ola, has announced its partnership with the donation platform GiveIndia. The mobility platform will deliver oxygen concentrators to those in need for free, via its app. Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and Group CEO, announced the partnership in a tweet. He said, “We must come together and help our communities during these unprecedented times. Today we’re announcing the O2forIndia initiative in partnership with GiveIndia to provide free and easy access to oxygen concentrators to those in need.”
He added, “You can request concentrators on the Ola app. Once validated, we will deliver it to your doorstep and pick it up back once you no longer need it. Concentrator and transportation are both free. We hope this initiative brings much-needed support during these very difficult times and helps in mitigating the pain and the anxiety among those impacted,” he concluded.
The initiative will begin with Bengaluru and expand across India in the coming weeks. It will roll out the service with an initial set of 500 oxygen concentrators. Later, the startup and GiveIndia will contribute 10,000 units of concentrators.

How to order an oxygen concentrator from Ola?
To get the oxygen concentrators, consumers will need to log in to the ride-sharing app. Then, they need to request an oxygen concentrator by providing a few basic details. Once the patient has gotten better and no longer requires the concentrator, the company will pick the device back up and return it to GiveIndia to get it ready for the next patient who needs it.
