Share Express runs along fixed routes of a city and makes ride sharing seamless and cheaper by 30 percent to its customers. Notably, only those customers whose starting and end points coincide with the fixed routes can book a ride from the Share icon on their Ola app.

"Our latest product feature for shared rides called Share Express, makes Ola Share even more affordable and flexible, with rides starting as low as Rs 30 for a 4 km ride. Advanced algorithms match a customer only with others who are travelling on that fixed route," Ola CMO and Head of Categories Raghuvesh Sarup said in a statement.

The company plans to extend Share Express to over 300 routes in 10 cities in the near future, he added.
Plying across popular routes in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Jaipur; Share Express works like public transport line and covers more than 100 busiest routes in these cities.
