All the Android users who were hoping to receive Super Mario Run, at least after a month of iOS rollout (like us), there's a bad news. The company has announced that the Android rollout will take place only in March. Oh boy!
A tweet from Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account confirmed the news.
Android版「Super Mario Run」は、2017年3月に配信を開始します。現在Google Playでは、配信開始を通知でお知らせする事前登録の受付を行っています。ぜひご登録ください。https://t.co/2DW2TnCK6d pic.twitter.com/2QbMM6fGRh

For non-Japanese people, the above tweet stated that "The Android version of “Super Mario Run” will be delivered in March 2017. Currently, Google Play is accepting signups to inform you of when delivery begins. Please sign up."
If you want to receive notifications on the release, you can register for updates on the game’s Google Play Store listing.
As per TechCrunch, Super Mario Run, which is Nintendo’s first real foray into mobile gaming, was built on Unity, "a game engine that’s built with relatively simple platform-to-platform porting in mind." Therefore, the new launch window of March might mean that the game was available exclusively for iOS users for 3 months.
Hence, to make it up to the Android users, the company is expected to launch its next game, Fire Emblem to Android users first, followed by iOS users. The company will also launch Animal Crossing with other games shortly.
