For all you Netflix lovers, the company has introduced another dedicated app for users who want to watch its popular series with Google’s Daydream View in an immersive manner.
The app named "Netflix VR," is more or less the same thing as Netflix on Android TV, just with a gigantic virtual screen and digital environment to watch your shows in. All of the content currently up on Netflix is accessible in the virtual interface via the Daydream controller.
Notably, the app only supports Daydream View VR headset at present. Hopefully, the company will soon bring in support for Samsung Gear VR and other headsets.
However, according to some reviews posted on Google Play store, it appears that the application has some issues as many Pixel users have reported that their phones overheat after 20-30 minutes of use.
The Netflix VR app comes after HBO and Hulu launched VR versions of their apps which support 360-degree immersive viewing of content. HBO announced two apps for Daydream – HBO Now and HBO Go.
