NEET 2021 Dates and No. of Attempts Decision Likely By Early-March: Report

A simple trend click shows that students have been demanding the NEET 2021 exam dates. Students all over the country are in a fix due to the uncertainty over the medical exam. Students are eagerly waiting for the exam dates along with demand for the online exam, two times this year. But there has been a solid development now.

Latest Developments in NEET 2021

According to an India TV report, NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi has hinted that they will announce the exam date by February-end or early-March. He explained that a total of 28 boards, two ministries, and NTA involved in the brainstorming process. This has been causing a delay in the declaration of the exam date and the process has become time-consuming.

"We are in consultation with all the stakeholders. We are taking into consideration all possible aspects in the best interest of students. And we expect to reach a final decision by the end of February," Joshi said in a conversation with India TV.

Before that, in early February, the Education Minister, in conversation with the Times of India, had stated that the department was considering the possibility of an additional attempt for NEET 2021 this year. Without divulging any specifics, he said that the Health and Education Ministry along with NTA has mulled over the topic. Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal also asserted that he will announce the NEET 2021 dates soon.

Only 4-days for the months to end, we can only expect the Eduction Minister to announce the dates in early-March. Because like we have said before, time's running out for two exam attempts.

Last year, the exam was held on September 13 after being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 7,71,500 candidates had qualified for the exam, for which over 13.66 lakh appeared. The test was offered in eleven languages. They were English, Urdu, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, and Telugu.
