The date for NEET 2020 might even get shifted further, depending on the announcement of HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Candidates can use this time to their advantage and maximise their potential. So, I have listed below tips and tricks to crack NEET 2020 and important topics to focus upon.

1. Important topics for NEET 2020

The biology paper consists of 90 questions; double the other two subjects. That means you need to pay special attention and more time to the subject. This is also obvious, because, its the medical field. Thus, here are some important topics you need to focus on while studying biology.

  • Genetics
  • Ecology & Environment
  • Cell Biology
  • Morphology
  • Digestion and Absorption
  • Basics of Biotechnology
  • Reproduction
  • Biodiversity
  • Physiology of Animals and Plants

Prepare small notes and refer to them every day. Since NEET is very competitive, organise your time to solve previous year’s question papers with a timer. Remember that practice is key, and doing this exercise over and over again will help you to get quicker in the exam.

2. Mock Test

I can't stress enough how much this is important. You need to solve the biology paper in 1 hour 15 minutes. That is the maximum you have to give and you will only achieve this by giving mock tests. Use the National Abhyas Test App. It is even available in Hindi and it will give you one question paper every day. Byju's also has some question papers handy.

Check your answers, find your weak points and that's your guide to study the next day.

3. Sources to study from

The NCERT textbook is your Holy Book but, focus more on YouTube videos as they will help you make small notes. I found this great site that has notes and question papers to individual sites. Read Trueman’s Elementary Biology Volume – I and Volume – II. Follow a timetable and study religiously according to it.

In case, the exams are cancelled, we will inform you.
