Microsoft has launched newer variants of its Surface and Surface Book 2 laptops. The new variants are a lot cheaper which will make them more accessible to buyers.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop which was earlier priced at $999 is now available at a much lower $799 base model in the US market. The new base model now packs in an Intel Core m3 processor (with Intel HD 615 Graphics). This is accompanied by 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Coming to the Surface Book 2, the laptop which earlier started at $1,499 is now available from $1,199. What you get is something that still better than the base laptop model, with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB of onboard storage. Microsoft Surface Book 2 has a 13.5-inch touchscreen monitor with a resolution of 3240 x 2160 pixels, a detachable keyboard, and the support to the Surface Dial and the Surface Pen for handwriting and drawing with a high precision. The notebook also has USB 3.0 Type A and USB-Type C ports and UHS-II SDXC HD memory card.
The above pricing and devices are only available for the US.
