Microsoft Flow, which was introduced by the company in April, has made its way to Android. The app, which is now available in the Google Play Store, is designed to deliver notifications, organize data, synchronize files, automate processes and explore your automated workflows anytime and anywhere.
Microsoft Flow app is a workflow management tool, similar to IFTTT and offers an interface where you can mash up two or more services in order to create workflows – like getting a text when you receive an important email, or copying images from Instagram to Dropbox, saving a Twitter search to an Excel file, among other things.
To use Flow on Android, you’ll need to sign in with your work or school account, then you can view your workflows, enable or disable them from running configure alerts, check out the workflow history and more.
The app also includes an Activity Feed where you can see all your recent Flow actions, including the issues with a given Flow that needs attention. You can search the Feed and filter it, or drill down into the individual results.
Though Microsoft Flow offers similar features to IFTTT and Zapier, the difference is that Microsoft Flow focuses specifically on integrations with Microsoft’s own business tools, like Office 365, Dynamics CRM, PowerApps, and Yammer, along with other enterprise-friendly services such as MailChip, Github, Salesforce and others.
Currently, the app is flagged as “Unreleased”; however, the android app is available to anyone via the Google Play store.
