What's new in Microsoft Windows 11?
Microsoft has unveiled the new Windows 11 with an all-new UI along with subtle changes to the design of the operating system. The new update comes six years after the company had launched Windows 10. The new Windows gets a new Start menu without Live Tiles and new positioning of icons on the taskbar. Further, the new changes are similar to Windows 10X, but the company has stated that it took learning from Windows 10x.
Like we have witnessed in leaks, Windows 11 Start Menu comes to the centre. It does feel like a complete design overhaul, but a mixture of Mac and Ubuntu (Yes, you will find a lot of mem content there). It also has widgets and a smaller, thinner dock bar at the bottom. The Snap Layout provides a better multitasking ability. That is, you can use two apps side-by-side and a layout of your choice. The new Windows will remember the layouts you choose and keep them in mind for later. Snap Groups will remember the apps you were using before an email or call disrupted your work.
Most importantly, the Teams integration directly in the new OS will also enable users to call anyone, video-call anyone; it will not matter if the other user is on a different device, even a Mac. Microsoft also announced Auto HDR for gaming on Windows 11 to enhance user experience. The company will provide an XBox game pass directly into Windows 11 with the Xbox app.
Lastly, android apps are coming to Windows 11 with Microsoft Store and a hint of TikTok integration is a definitive catch.
