MUMBAI, INDIA: The Government of Maharashtra and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) announced the allotment of 8000 sq. meter land for the proposed brownfield EMC in Aurangabad at subsidized rates and plans to earmark 100 acres of land for the proposed greenfield EMC in Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
The Brownfield EMC, to be set-up with an investment of 47 crores, will strengthen the ESDM ecosystem, thereby supporting the local companies in becoming more competitive for manufacturing and design/ development of new products.
The proposed Aurangabad Brownfield EMC will have a common facility center which will include an Innovation Centre, Environment Test and EMI/EMC Test Lab, Modular Cabinet Manufacturing Centre and Skill Development /Training Centre.
A startup fund of Rs.200 crore is also created in association with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) covering all sectors including ESDM.
“The future holds immense potential to bring several billion dollar EDSM investments to the country and Aurangabad with its proposed EMCs can attract a large chunk of these investments,” said Ashok Chandak, former Chairman, IESA.
