In a bid to further boost its sales in India, Xiaomi has launched Mi Exchange programme in the country in partnership with New Delhi-based Cashify.
Mi Exchange programme is intended for those who are looking to exchange their old smartphones with a brand new device. All you need to do is to take your old smartphone to any of the company’s Mi Homes. At the store, the Cashify team will inspect the device and propose an estimated price based on the condition. The amount then can be used against the price of the smartphone which the user plans to purchase.
For customers who want to evaluate the price of their own device before going to a Mi Home centre, use the Cashify application to get an approximate price of the device. Once the evaluation is completed, the user can either choose to go to the store or request for a pickup.
But before you head for the exchange, read all the terms and conditions carefully. Firstly, the device a user wishes to exchange should be in Cashify portfolio. Plus, the customer can exchange only one device at a time. The resale value of the device is based on Cashify’s inbuilt application and cannot be negotiated. The customer gets an e-receipt through Cashify for his old phone, and once the exchange process is done, no further changes will be made.
The Mi Exchange programme comes on the heels of latest IDC report that claimed that the Chinese brand had joined Samsung as the top smartphone vendor in the country in the third quarter this year.
