Letv enters the Virtual Reality devices market with new game plan

NEW  DELHI, INDIA: Chinese giant Letv today unveiled its strategy of developing a VR ecosystem worldwide involving the hardware and content. The company launched its Vertical Reality (VR) headset- LeVR COOL1- a head mounted VR product which has been programmed to work perfectly with its Le Superphones. It is also the best VR ecosystem available in China for now at US$23.

Letv together with its content suppliers both in China and overseas, will build a library of enormous VR content resources, covering various areas such as movies and TV shows, music, sport, travel, education, games, news & documentaries, etc.

Unlike other content-playing devices that have been released so far, VR device is a brand new concept and is designed for a greater sense of freedom and imagination. It is a virtual private theatre for user to fully immerse themselves in the supreme visual experience.

Featuring content desktop and platform, the specially designed EUI VR edition is the best of Letv’s research efforts over the years in perfecting professional image processing. Adopting Catmull-Rom spline interpolating algorithm, LeVR COOL1 optimized its functions and achieved high-level virtualization. With Bluetooth remote control, Users can customize the desktop in terms of the type, order and other settings.

China’s Letv is all set to make its debut in India on January 5.
