Airtel in collaboration with Karbonn has launched the Karbonn A40 Indian, effectively priced at Rs 1,349. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and FM radio. However, USB-OTG isn’t supported and neither is GPS.
The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and has a 2-megapixel camera at the back while a 0.3-megapixel camera on the front. Video recording for the rear camera maxes out at 720p but once again, the quality is sub-standard. The Karbonn A40 India has a small 1400mAh battery.
The phone is pre-loaded with apps such as Wynk Music, MyAirtel app, Bubble Bash 3, Motocross: Trial Extreme, Xender, Saavn, Flipkart, and Dailyhunt.
Airtel is offering the new handset, for an effective price of Rs 1,399 whereas the actual price of the handset is around Rs 3,500. The smartphone will be sold to consumers for a down payment of Rs 2,899, on which Airtel will give cash back of Rs 1,500 over three years on the condition that consumers recharge their phones with a minimum pack of Rs 169 every month. The recharge will offer unlimited voice calls and 500 MB data every day.
Reliance Jio 4G phone-
The Reliance JioPhone is undoubtedly a craze among the audience considering it is available at an effective price of Rs 0. A JioPhone users can use the mobile phone for 36 months and then return it to claim his security deposit of Rs 1,500.
The phone is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A7 processor and is bundled with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card. In terms of optics, the phone comprises of a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front. The single SIM phone runs on KaiOS and is backed by a 2,000 mAH battery.
The phone provides unlimited voice calls and data at Rs 153 per month. The JioPhone will also include access to apps like JioCinema, JioTV, and JioMusic. The company will also be adding NFC support to the JioPhone to allow tap and pay solutions with a linked bank account.
