JioPhone users get unlimited voice calls and 1GB data for 28 days at Rs 49

After launching its revised set of plans on New year, Reliance Jio announced another new cheap plan as part of its Republic Day Offer. But the offer is exclusively available for JioPhone users. Under the new offer, Jio will offer unlimited voice calls and 1GB data for 28 days at Rs 49.

The company said, "Tariffs charged for feature phone users continue to be exorbitant, while their smartphone counterparts on Jio enjoyed free voice calls and high-speed data at the most affordable tariffs. The high feature phone tariffs make it impossible for them to even think of using data. Jio has made data affordable for everyone."

Besides the Rs 49 plan, Jio has also introduced affordable data add-on packs at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101. Recently, Reliance Jio also decided to offer 500 MB extra data to its subscribers using 1GB and 1.5GB per day data packs with effect from January 26.

The 4G VoLTE JioPhone took the feature market by storm and has disrupted the feature phones market with its “free” model. The feature phone, with an effective price of Rs 0 was made available to all. Users needed to deposit Rs 1,500 which will be refunded back after 36 months.
