Back in February, Instagram announced a new gallery feature for posting multiple photos and videos in a carousel album format but sadly it was limited to square-format photos only. But not anymore, as the photo-sharing platform now allows posting pictures in the format of your choice rather than cropping them into a square sized format.
The downside is that it seems like you’ll still have to choose one photo format and then stick with it — from the sound of it, you won’t be able to create an album with landscape and square or portrait photos.

The new capabilities work exactly like anybody would expect. Just choose the pictures you want to include and set an aspect ratio to the picture whenever you want to post. The new feature doesn’t appear to be live for all users yet, but Instagram says it’s rolling out starting today.
