HYDERABAD: Infosys is all set to have a sprawling facility in Hyderabad that
will have a capacity to house more than 1,000 employees.
"We are planing to move to the new campus by the end of September. But
the company will continue to operate from the existing facility in the Hi-Tech
city for some more time," said, Kakal,associate VP enterprise solutions and
Head of Hyderabad operations, Chandra Shekar.
The company has chalked out plans to invest in the proposed project, in a
phased manner. In the first phase of operations it will invest Rs 80 crore, that
would be disbursed for setting up two software centers. The firm will later
invest Rs 100 crore in the second and third phase to create facilities to
accommodate additional 1,300 employees.
The firm has already signed a MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for
acquiring 30 acres of land near Hyderabad. The company started its Hyderabad
operations in March 2000 with 50 people at its center in the hi-tech city here.
The company's center in Hyderabad is dedicated to providing solutions to
global companies such as Toshiba, Nordstrom and Seimens. Infosys is one amongst
the leading IT firms in the country, providing IT consulting and software
services to the world's finest organizations.
The business model of the company focuses on having long-term strategic
relationships with clients and a significant portion of the revenue comes from
repeat business. The solutions developed by the company include building next
generation communication, networking, and e-infrastructure products for clients.
