MUMBAI, INDIA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a whirlwind tour of North America to campaign for his ambitious digital India initiative, has announced a mobile application for the farmers.
Targeted at tackling the prevalent agrarian crisis in the country, the application, said the Prime Minister, will equip the farmers with latest reports on soil feeds.
The information would enable the community to make informed decisions about availability and right type of fertilizer, herbicide, pesticides, manure and the latest techniques to sow crops.
Besides, the app will also provide inputs on farm technologies, agricultural inputs and weather updates.
