BANGALORE: IBM Global Services in India has been assessed at Managed Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) prescribed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of the Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
IBM Global Services India claims to be the 16th company in the world to achieve this highest level of maturity. IBM Global Services president Pawan Kumar said "achieving CMM Level 5 is a very important milestone for IBM as it incorporates all three aspects of people, processes and technology for getting the highest value for our customers."
CMM is a model of a software development environment developed by SEI. The model gives a framework for software development and maintenance that describes the progression from an adhoc software process to a well-managed software process in terms of maturity levels in the model.
