HTC announced the launch of a new smartphone under its U series called HTC U11 EYEs. The new smartphone is currently available in Taiwan and China at CNY 3,299(Rs 32,664).
HTC U11 EYEs sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It’s an edge-to-edge display with 18:9 screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device runs HTC Sense based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
The main highlight of the device is the dual selfie camera feature. The U11 EYEs bears a 12-UltraPixel rear sensor with features like phase detection autofocus (PDAF), OIS, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-tone dual-LED flash.On the front is a dual camera setup that sports two 5-megapixel sensors, with HDR enhancement, a f/2.2 aperture, and Bokeh mode, for selfies and video calling.
HTC U11 EYEs also features ‘Face Unlock’ which can be triggered by squeezing on the sides of the smartphone, courtesy Edge Sense technology.
The phone is backed by a 3,930mAh battery. Other features include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, IP67 rated and a USB Type-C port. However, the phone is lacking a headphone jack.
The device will be available in Red, Silver, Blue, and Black colors.
