HMD Global, the brand behind the resurrection of Nokia has announced a range of smartphones at the MWC'18. The company unveiled a slate of Android-powered smartphones — the Nokia 1, the Nokia 6, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco, with the cheapest of these, the Nokia 1, coming in at a mere $85 — and a new feature phone, Nokia 8110.
First up is the Nokia 1. The Nokia 1 is the low-end smartphone from the company, priced at $85. The phone runs on Android Oreo(Go Edition)- which is optimized for smartphones with the memory of 1GB or less. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6737M Quad Core 1.1GHz coupled with an 8GB internal memory, that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Second is the Nokia 6. The Nokia 6 is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform and comes in Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold, with two configurations of 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, and later 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. It will retail for €279 and will go on sale in April.
Next up is the Nokia 7 Plus which is priced at €399 and built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with a two-day battery life and comes in Black/Copper and White/Copper. The smartphone consists 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The phone has 12-megapixel primary camera with dual tone LED flash and a 13-megapixel secondary camera. For selfie lovers, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
And lastly the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the flagship smartphone from Nokia which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform. The 5.5-inch smartphone has 6GB LPPDDR 4X RAM and 128GB USF2.1 internal user memory2. The smartphone which will retail for €749 will include Dual-Sight, Zeiss optics, Nokia spatial audio, and a curved glass finish around a stainless-steel frame, with a measurement of 2mm at the edge, using edge-to-edge pOLED 2K 5.5-inch display.
All the smartphones from Nokia run on Android Oreo. Additionally, HMD also announced Nokia 8110, a 4G feature phone that includes access to Google and Facebook apps, the option to create a hotspot and a global average price of €79.
