NEW YORK: In a bid to enable its devotees from around the world access devotional and spiritual content, the International Society For Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), has launched a video-on-demand (VoD) service.
The service is available on www.iskcontelevisionindia.com website and currently gives followers access to its library of spiritual and devotional content like aartis and pravachans along with spiritual movies and documentaries based on Lord Krishna’s life and teachings.
The endeavour also marks ISKCON’s foray into the digital world. So far, the society’s content was produced by its in-house production company iTV Productions headed by Haridas Parbhu. The same content will be curated and released online.
The platform for the website is powered by New York-based OOT video stream platform provider, Muvi Studio.
Muvi Studio has powered ISKCON’s entire IT infrastructure, CDN, Video CMS, website and in built DRM for piracy protection of the proprietary content that iTV produces for ISKCON.
“We are in the process of extending the support for the mobile platform, as ISKCON is planning to launch mobile apps,” shared Viraj Mehta, Head, International Sales, Muvi Studio.
