What happens after March 31 when Jio Prime membership ends?

Jio Prime, the premium subscription service for Reliance Jio users will be expiring on March 31, 2018. The membership service which was available for Rs 99 provided additional data to users and other freebies such as free SMSes and free access to Jio suite of apps including Jio Music, JioTV, Jio News, AJIO and many others. And now the question arises that what next for Jio users after March 31?

Though an official announcement is awaited, speculations are rife that the Prime services will be continued for another year with Rs 99 recharge or there could be a small increase in subscription fee

Here are the benefits that were offered to Jio Prime subscribers-

a. Free unlimited data and voice services for one-year

b. Special recharge plans with additional data and validity

c. Free access to Jio app suite including JioTV and more. Jio App Suite included music and content like movies and videos for free with Jio apps.

d. Free VoLTE-based voice calls to any network, even on roaming with no blackout days either.

The Jio Prime subscription also offers discounts on recharge packs with daily data allocations. Similarly, the Jio promise to offer data tariffs 20 percent lower than the nearest competitor works out for Prime users only.

The Jio Prime memberships, which came into effect on April 1 last year is valid until this Saturday.
