Google is all set to launch its next iteration of Pixel series on October 4, as confirmed by a new advertising campaign and official landing page citing the date of the launch. The page says that anyone who is “thinking about changing phones,” tune in for more information coming on October 4.

Notably, it was the same date last year when the search engine company launched its first Google-branded Pixel smartphones.

As one can see in the teaser video and the tagline that reads 'ask more', seems like Google will be emphasizing its virtual Assistant again in the upcoming device. The other focus areas would be battery life, camera, self-updates, voice recognition, speed durability etc.

As far as the specifications of the new Pixel model go, reports suggest that it’ll use a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, as well as ‘squeezable’ pressure sensitive sides, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

While the smaller of the two devices is expected to be similar to last year's model, the larger device is said to have some additional features on top of its 6-inch display, including very narrow bezels.

There are rumors that Google will not launch these phones alone. The company may launch a new line of Google Assistant-enabled headphones as well.
