Since its launch in 2013, Google has been pretty confused about the name of its most popular hardware product, Chromecast. In March this year, Google changed its name to 'Google Cast’ but looks like search engine company still wasn’t contended so is going for another re-christening to ‘Chromecast built-in.’ What’s up with you Google!
The Google Cast website has already been updated with a new name, which says, Google Cast–also known as Chromecast built-in, "technology that lets you cast your favorite entertainment and apps from your phone, tablet or laptop right to your TV or speakers."
Google made the announcement via Twitter:

In March, when 'Google Cast' was being favored instead of Chromecast, Google said the new branding would "better reflect that Google Cast technology is now supported across a wide range of devices such as Chromecast, TVs, displays, and speakers."
So, what made Google change its mind again after 8 months? Though Google is yet to comment on the name change, the reason might be that “Chromecast built-in” helps unify the experience or it shares a name with the Google Chrome Web browser.
Google is hoping that Chromecast will resonate with users a bit more. However, on the flip side, the new name is making the whole scenario more confusing. Mainly because Chromecast app that helps in device setup isn't called Chromecast anymore. Last month Google renamed the feature with "Google Home."
